Panama City, the capital of Panama has a population of over 880,691 and
as expected for such a big city, the area has over 73 skyscrapers, with
Donald Trump’s Ocean Club and International Hotel & Tower taking the
spotlight at 293 meters.
Emporis Skyscraper ranked Panama’s F&F tower seventh on its list of top ten skyscrapers completed in 2011.
More commonly known as The Screw or Revolution Tower, the office building spirals up 52 floors to reach 797 feet above Calle 50.
Eight Spruce Street in New York topped the list followed by Kuwait’s
El Al Hamra Tower, Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Towers, China’s KK100, Sweden’s
Victoria Tower, Cincinnati’s Great American Tower, the F&F Tower,
South Korea’s Northeast Asia Trade Tower, Singapore’s Reflections at
Keppel Bay and China’s Tianjin Global Financial Center.
Emporis Skyscraper, a German company, compiles information about the
building and construction of high-rise architecture throughout the world
and has held the annual skyscraper competition since 2000.
